Best Tablets 2019 : Review Of Top 10 Best Slates Ranked

Tablets are more than just large screen phones that you can’t fit in your pocket. They’ve become so popular and so powerful, that they may essentially bring about the obsoletion of laptops. It’s their portability and power that makes them so appealing. Whether you’re a corporate professional, an artist or a gamer, there is a tablet out there powerful enough to suit your needs. So we took the time to find and review the best tablets of 2018. They come in all shapes and flavors, from Apple to Windows.

Best Tablets You Should Check Out In 2019

  1. iPad Pro 11

ipad pro 11 - best tablets review

The iPad pro 11 is expensive by tablet standards. Prices range from $900 to $1100. Is it worth the expense though? The answer is a resounding “yes!”. It’s currently Apples most powerful tablet. It works very much like a laptop. iPad Pro 11 has beautiful sounding speakers and a great screen to body ratio. It also has a new Apple pencil that magnetically clips onto the frame.

What lets it down is what lets down most Apple devices. It doesn’t have a standard headphone jack for instance. Either than that, it’s probably still the best tablet that money can buy.

  1. Microsoft Surface Pro 6

If you’re looking for a powerful alternative to the iPad Pro, look no further than the Microsoft Surface Pro. It’s less expensive (depending on the shop you buy it from and the specs) but it’s as powerful and it’s a Windows tablet. It’s a great two in one tablet that packs a mean punch in terms of performance. Although it doesn’t come with a Surface Pen or the Type Cover.

You’ll have to purchase those items separately. It also comes in a wide variety of colors to choose from.  If you’re looking for a tablet that’s cheaper than the iPad pro but is as powerful, comes with a headphone jack and supports Windows 10, then this is definitely one of the best tablets for you.

  1. Samsung Galaxy Tab S4

If you’re looking for a high-performance tablet with a two in one design but implements Android instead of iOS/macOS or Windows, you won’t go wrong by getting yourself the Samsung Galaxy Pro. It’s nearly as powerful as the two previous tablets on this list but it’s also a lot more affordable than then. Don’t mistake being affordable for being cheap here.

This tablet can cost you between $550 to $750 depending on the specs you choose and the store you shop from. You do get more bang for your buck because it does come with a stylus pen.

Once you pair it with peripherals like a keyboard and mouse, you can use it almost like a laptop.  It’s a great tablet that has earned its spot on the best tablets.

  1. Apple iPad (2018)

If you’re looking for an iOS tablet that won’t cost you an arm and leg but still delivers great performance, look no further than the latest Apple iPad. It works with the Apple Pencil although it does not come with it. Apple iPad also supports the Smart Keyboard. It boasts 10 hours of battery life and has a Touch ID finger sensor as well. The price can run you between $299 and $329.

  1. Amazon Fire HD 8

amazon fire hd 8 - cheap tablet

I hope that we haven’t forgotten that Samsung, Microsoft, and Apple aren’t the only companies that sell great tablets. The Amazon Fire HD 8 is a great alternative tablet. It uses Amazon’s own implementation of the Android OS to deliver a very easy to interface. Despite its affordable price tag, it has a hard durable body and even works with the Amazon Echo Show.

If you’re looking for a media tablet that will cost you just $79.99 from Amazon, look no further. Its affordability and design is the reason why we had to put it on our list of the best tablets in 2019.

  1. Samsung Galaxy Book 2

A lot of people don’t know that Samsung has its own implementation of Windows on a tablet with the Samsung Galaxy Book. It’s arguably one of the best Windows tablets out there.  It comes with peripherals including a stylus pen, a keyboard, and a mouse. It’s a great two in one solution that switches from tablet to laptop almost seamlessly.

It also comes in with built-in LTE. It’s a super powerful tablet that comes with a bright 12-inch FHD screen. If you can afford its fee which will cost you between $999 and $1333, we highly recommend that you get it if you’re looking for a Windows tablet that is not built by Microsoft.

  1. Huawei MediaPad M5 Pro

Huawei MediaPad M5 Pro

The Huawei MediaPad M5 Pro provides close to competition to the likes of the iPad Pro. It’s not as powerful though but it comes with a reasonable price tag. In terms of design, it has a metal body with a 10-inch glass pane that slightly curves at the edges, making it comfortable to hold. Under the hood, it runs a 2.3GHz octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 960 processor and 4GB of RAM.

It offers a reasonably priced alternative to most of the entries on this list. It’s worth the purchase if you’re looking for something powerful but a little cheaper.

  1. Asus Zenpad 3S 10

Asus Zenpad 3S 10

The latest Asus Zenpad’s design is very reminiscent of the iPad’s. It’s only safe to say that it was built as a near rival to Apple’s flagship tablet. It has a lively high-resolution screen and it is swift to respond. Unfortunately, the battery life leaves a lot to be desired. It will cost you between $400 and $1000.

  1. Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro

Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro

If you’re looking for a tablet that’s geared more towards media and entertainment, the latest Lenovo Yoga tab provides a reasonable solution for you. It comes in with a built-in stand so you don’t have to buy one or continuously hold it.  It also comes with a built-in projector. All its features make it a little heavier and little less portable but this tablet scratches an itch that many other tablets do not.

Holding it may feel like an arm workout and you may look ridiculous while holding it but it definitely deserves its place as one of the best top rated tablets of 2018/2019.

  1. iPad Mini 4

iPad Mini 4

The iPad mini is probably the best small-screen tablet out on the market right now. It lacks pro features like a keyboard or stylus pen/ Apple pencil but it’s good for everyday use such as note taking or reading your books and or email. Storage space ranges from 16GB to 128GB. Unfortunately, there’s no microSD slot. The resolution is pretty decent though.

Final Word

Tablets make our daily lives a lot more productive and they help us simplify the way we work and interact with each other. The more affordable they become, the sooner they’ll probably start phasing the laptop out. I hope you’ve enjoyed reading this list. May the months ahead be productive and happy for you.
